MacRumors reported last month that Apple provided a repair plan for the iPhone 12/12 mini model to replace the same model device. Recently, Apple also covered this repair policy to iPhone 12 Pro / 12 Pro Max models. But for many users, this solution still has great inconvenience. The good news is that now official stores and authorized service providers can access the new iPhone back cover parts.
According to an official memo obtained by MacRumors, this ” iPhone back cover assembly” for after-sales does not include a screen and a rear camera module. And as of this week, all four iPhone 12 models are available.
This means that if you accidentally break the back cover glass of the iPhone 12 Pro, Apple Store or authorized service providers can provide complete back cover replacement and repair services, while retaining the original screen/rear camera components that have not been damaged.
It is said that this new maintenance program aimed at reducing the carbon footprint of Apple products is now available in all markets where iPhone 12 is sold.
However, if you unfortunately encounter problems with the boot-up or the logic board/Face ID system/device shell, it is obvious that the replacement solution is more reliable.
